Follow some basic rules when choosing the perfect gown for you...
Choosing her wedding dress is a very exciting but quite nerve-wracking event for any bride-to-be. What shape will suit? what colour should she go for? fitted or full skirt, strapless or shoulders covered?
There are six basic wedding dress silhouette categories:
An A-Line or Princess shape dress has fitted vertical seams running from the shoulders down to the flared shirt, creating an “A” shape.
An Empire line dress has a high waistline and seam just underneath the bust. It particularly suits brides with small busts, creating height for petite brides.
The traditional ballgown wedding dress has a fitted bodice and a floor-length skirt. It is usually worn in a more formal setting such as a church. It suits brides with slim waistlines, and is great for hiding full hips. The Sheath is a straight,, fitted dress and suits tall,.slim brides.
The Mermaid is a narrow fitted dress designed to show off a bride’s curves, with the bottom flaring out like a fishtail. It suits tall, slim brides and creates height for petites.
The Strapless suits curvaceous brides wishing to draw particular attention to their face and arms.
